UG Oasis Community Garden |
UG Oasis Community was started in the spring of 2004 on a weed and trash strewn lot next
to The Urban Gardener's store. In the spring of 2005 the garden doubled in size when the
dilapidated house next door was razed to make room for more garden space.

Atlanta Community Food Bank |
With more than 150 gardens in the Atlanta area, the Community Gardens Project brings
neighbors together and empowers people to supplement their food supply by growing it
themselves. Community gardening stimulates social interaction, encourages self-reliance,
truly beautifies neighborhoods and produces nutritious foods, while reducing family food
budgets. Each garden is an autonomous neighborhood-based effort where friends share work
and responsibility. The Atlanta Community Food Bank provides gardening expertise, volunteer
help, tools, seeds and more.
